Our Story

What began as a childhood curiosity has become the foundation of Miller Brooke.

From an early age, I was drawn to mechanical objects—anything that moved, anything that could be taken apart and understood. There was something captivating about the precision and purpose behind every component. Watches, along with old railroad locks, held a particular fascination. They weren’t just objects—they were systems, stories, and craftsmanship brought to life.

That fascination evolved in 2010 with the purchase of my first “nice” watch, a TAG Heuer Professional. It marked the beginning of a deeper appreciation for fine timepieces. A few years later, in the winter of 2014, I came across a Tudor Submariner “Snowflake” in an unlikely place—a Facebook garage sale listing, long before online marketplaces were what they are today. The watch was worn, original, and full of character. After a short negotiation, I purchased it for $185. I cleaned it, restored it, and to this day, it remains one of the most meaningful pieces in my collection.

As the years went on, my involvement in the pawn industry exposed me to more luxury watches. I began acquiring pieces whenever I could, driven by both curiosity and appreciation. By 2018, I had built a personal collection of Rolex watches, yet the desire to experience new pieces never faded. I started trading—selling watches I wore less often to pursue others I had long admired. What began as personal collecting soon turned into something more.

Friends began asking for help sourcing watches. Then friends of friends. Over time, I became a trusted resource for those seeking pieces that were often difficult to obtain. Each transaction was rooted in the same passion that started it all.

In 2020, during the stillness of the COVID lockdown, Miller Brooke was officially established.

The name Miller Brooke is deeply personal—it is derived from the middle names of our two children, a constant reminder of why we build and what we value. As the brand took shape, we partnered with my wife Julia’s cousin, Bryan, a seasoned branding expert who has worked with some of the world’s most recognized companies. Through his guidance, Miller Brooke was built not just as a business, but as a brand with intention and meaning. Even within our logo, there is a hidden story—the watch hands integrated into the design subtly mark the birthdays of our children.

Today, Miller Brooke reflects years of experience, refinement, and vision. Our Madison showroom was thoughtfully designed as a boutique environment—clean, masculine, and understated—where the focus remains on the watches themselves. Each detail, from the wall displays to the private showroom and secure vault, was carefully considered to create a space that feels both elevated and personal.

Miller Brooke is built on relationships, trust, and a shared appreciation for exceptional timepieces.

We look forward to welcoming you and being part of your next chapter in collecting.

Sincerely,

Jason, Julia, Hannah, and Owen
